Taekwondo star Abu Hurairah Shah meets Sindh CTD DIG, vows more international glory for Pakistan

International Taekwondo player Syed Abu Hurairah Shah called on Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Captain (R) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar and discussed sports promotion and opportunities for young athletes.

ISLAMABAD, Jun 18 (APP): International Taekwondo player Syed Abu Hurairah Shah called on Sindh Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Captain (R) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar and discussed sports promotion and opportunities for young athletes.
Speaking to APP on Thursday after the meeting, Abu Hurairah Shah said the encouragement and support extended by senior police officials played an important role in motivating young sportspersons to excel at national and international levels.
During the meeting, DIG Ghulam Azfar  appreciated Abu Hurairah Shah’s outstanding contributions to Taekwondo and lauded his achievements for Pakistan. He also conveyed his best wishes for the athlete’s future endeavors and continued success on the international stage.
Abu Hurairah recalled that when Ghulam Azfar was serving as DIG East Karachi, he had won a gold medal for Pakistan. On that occasion, Sindh Police had accorded him a warm welcome and acknowledged his remarkable performance.
As a gesture of appreciation, the DIG CTD Sindh presented a commemorative souvenir to Abu Hurairah Shah on behalf of the department, recognizing his services and achievements in the field of sports.
Abu Hurairah thanked the DIG for his support and encouragement, saying such recognition was a source of pride and inspiration for young athletes. He expressed hope that the patronage and encouragement of Ghulam Azfar  would continue, enabling him to bring more international honors to Pakistan in the future.
