State minister visits DHQ Hospital Jhang

FAISALABAD, Feb 20 (APP): State Minister for Information & Broadcasting Farrukh Habib visited District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Jhang on Sunday and inspected its record about admission and discharge of patients.

Chief Executive Officer Health Jhang Dr Manzoor Hussain, Medical Superintendent DHQ Hospital Dr Altaf Hussain Bhowana, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr Rao Muhammad Arshad, Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Arshad Bashir, Admin Officer Muhammad Arshad and others were also present.

The minister also went to the Sehat card counter and inquired about its facilities. He also checked computerized record of the health card counter and directed its staff to deal the visitors politely and decently so that they could feel easy in getting free medical treatment through their Sehat cards.

The state minister also visited various wards of the hospital and interacted with the under-treatment patients and their attendants. He also inquired from them about the medical facilities provided to them in the hospital.

He directed the hospital administration to improve the quality of medical facilities for ailing humanity and said that no negligence and lethargy would be tolerated in this regard at any cost.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was committed and sincere to mitigating sufferings of masses. In this connection, he had launched the Sehat card scheme so that people could get medical treatment from the best hospital of their own choice.

He said that health card scheme was started in various parts of Punjab including Jhang district while remaining population of the province would get the facility up to March 31, 2022.

The government had so far paid Rs 46 billion to various hospitals as more than 2 million people had got medical treatment up till now through their health cards, he added.
