FAISALABAD, Aug 2 (APP): State Minister for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali has suspended entire staff of Sukheki sub-division including Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) and issued directives for taking action against corrupt and incompetent staff of Jalalpur Bhattian and Pindi Bhattian subdivisions.
Talking to the media after a surprise visit to Sub-Divisions Pindi Bhattian and Jalalpur Bhattian on Tuesday, the minister said that on the special directive of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, he is conducting surprise visits to kick out incompetent and lethargic employees who were major hurdle to uninterrupted supply of electricity to the public.
He said that the government was striving hard to eliminate the menace of terrorism, load-shedding and unemployment from the country and in this connection all sources were being utilised.
Abid Ali Sher said that some elements were creating hindrance in the national progress. They indulged in politics of protests but the people had rejected them at all levels.
He said that a strategy had been evolved to hold open courts to hear and redress people’s problems.
