ISLAMABAD, Mar 14 (APP):Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi on Thursday said Pakistan was now stable and progressing on the path of development would lead the entire region to prosperity.
The minister, who is currently on a visit to Houston (USA), met with the officials of Exxon Mobil (an American multinational oil and gas company), Chairman Port Qasim Authority (PQA) Asad Rafi Chandna and Consul General, Consulate General of Pakistan, Houston Aisha Farooqui was also accompanied the minister, says a message received here.
He said foreign companies could use their expertise and local workforce could be utilised to get benefits of the energy reserves of the country, which would make Pakistan self-sufficient in the field of energy.“Big investors keen to invest in Pakistan” he added.
Zaidi was given detailed briefing about the Exxon Mobil, Oil, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and the technical innovation associated to them.
Exxon officials expressed special interest in the oil and gas reserves in Pakistan.
It is pertinent to mention here that during his visit the minster also met with the participants of Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA) conference which is under way in Houston this week.
