SSP Qazi leads field monitoring of 8th Muharram security arrangements
ISLAMABAD, Jun 24 (APP):Senior Islamabad Police officers, led by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, remained in the field to oversee security arrangements and operational preparedness for 8th Muharram processions across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Wednesday that police officers were monitoring procession routes, security points and deployment of personnel to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for mourners.
SSP Qazi and other senior officers reviewed security measures on the ground and inspected arrangements put in place for the smooth conduct of Muharram processions.
According to the official, officers also checked the performance and alertness of personnel deployed at sensitive locations and along procession routes.
Islamabad Police had adopted comprehensive security measures and were utilizing all available resources to ensure foolproof security, effective coordination and timely response during Muharram-ul-Haram.
He said special emphasis was being placed on maintaining close coordination among operational units and ensuring uninterrupted monitoring of religious gatherings and processions.
Citizens were urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and immediately report any suspicious activity through Pucar-15, the 1info App or the Mohafiz Muharram App.
