ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP): Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police awarded commendation certificates to 30 officers including members of the Special Task Team led by Azeem Minhas in recognition of their professionalism, timely actions, and service to citizens.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the ceremony was held under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Qazi Ali Raza, who praised the dedication and commitment shown by the awarded officers across various field operations.

During the ceremony, SSP Qazi said the hard work, discipline, and sacrifices of ICT Police personnel are commendable and directly contribute to strengthening public trust and improving the force’s overall performance. He added that recognising officers’ efforts boosts morale and encourages even higher standards of policing.

He highlighted that the Special Task Team, headed by Azeem Minhas, had demonstrated exceptional professionalism in recent operations. Their effective strategies, swift response, and teamwork played a crucial role in disrupting criminal activities and improving law and order.
SSP Qazi Ali Raza stated that the purpose of these awards is to acknowledge the officers’ dedication, courage, and commitment to public service. “Modern policing and professional duty performance remain our top priorities,” he said.
He further directed all field officers to continue working with integrity, maintain visible police presence in their areas, and ensure timely response to any emergency.
The official said the ICT Police leadership remains committed to enhancing operational capacity, encouraging excellence, and ensuring that officers at every level are supported and recognised for their contribution to public safety.
