Special force to be established to check quality of water: Rana Tanveer

ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (APP):Minister for Science and Technology Rana Tanveer Hussain on Wednesday informed the National Assembly that his ministry would establish force to check the quality of the water and get rid of those involved in selling impure water.
He said this while responding to a calling attention notice regarding inaccessibility of potable water to 80 percent population in the country.
The minister said that about 130 factories of the drinking water had been sealed due to providing of sub standards water.
He said that a request had been dispatched to the ministry of interior to allow for establishing of forces for this purpose only.
He expressed the hope that soon the ministry of interior would grant permission to the ministry of science and Technology for establishing of force.
