ISLAMABAD, May 06 (APP):The Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Monday disallowed the use of banners and placards in the House under Rule 30 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in National Assembly, 2007.
In his ruling during the protest of the Opposition lawmakers in front of his dais, the Speaker said that carrying such things are not allowed in the House under Rule 30.
It is to mention that Rule 30 is regarding the conduct of members while present in the Assembly and disallows reading any book, newspaper or letter except in connection with business of the Assembly.
The particular sub-rule 30 (h) says that members shall not chant slogans, display banners or placards, throw and tear table documents and reports, etc.
The members continued their protest despite the ruling following which the Chair adjourned the House to meet again on May 8 (Wednesday) at 11 am.
