ISLAMABAD, May 22 (APP):National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser was briefed about the post-protest developments by ICT Administration on kidnap and murder of a girl in Islamabad.
The Chief Commissioner Islamabad apprised that all the administrative actions as agreed between the family of the deceased girl and the Administration have been taken against the delinquent official who failed to amicably handle the issue, said a press release issued here Wednesday.
He further apprised that judicial inquiry had been ordered in order to ascertain the facts and fix responsibility.
He also informed that a summary would be moved to the Prime Minister for grant of compensation to the family of the deceased child. He regretted the irresponsible attitude of the police functionaries.
MNA Ali Nawaz Awan, Mujahaid Ali, Inspector General of Police ICT, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and other senior officers were present.
The protest was called off after the intervention of National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, yesterday.
Later, the Speaker met the family of the decreased girl. The Speaker prayed for the solace of the deceased and fortitude to the family. He said that the perpetrator of the crime would not be spared and would be taken to task.
He assured that justice would be dispensed and all the government functionaries responsible would be taken to task.
He directed ICT Administration to apprise him about the progress on the issue.
