ISLAMABAD, Jan 16 (APP): Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday reiterating his longstanding commitment to the development and prosperity of South Punjab and the welfare of its people, said that the region’s prosperity was integral to Pakistan’s overall progress.
The acting president, in separate meetings with Hafez Hussain Ahmed Madani and Nawabzada Sardar Rafiq Abbasi here at Aiwan-e-Sadr, said that South Punjab was very close to his heart.
During the meetings, matters relating to South Punjab were discussed, with a particular focus on the region’s needs and priorities.
The visitors appreciated the services rendered by Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani for Pakistan, particularly for South Punjab.
They also paid tribute to his timely and effective public service initiatives during the recent floods, noting his active role in relief and support efforts.
