South Korea’s parliamentary delegation meets with Qasim Noon

ISLAMABAD, Jan 29 (APP):A high-level parliamentary delegation of South Korea on Thursday held a detailed meeting with Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana, Muhammad Qasim Noon to discuss Pakistan-South Korea relations, regional situation and Kashmir issue.
The Chairman Kashmir Committee briefed the South Korean delegation about the latest situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The Kashmir issue was internationally recognized dispute which still pending on the UN agenda for decades, Rana Qasim Noon highlighted.
He further said that Kashmir was the flashpoint of South Asia, lasting peace in the region was not possible without a solution to the issue, adding that Indian military aggression continues, more than one million Indian troops were deployed in IIOJK.
He highlighted that gruesome human rights violations had become a daily routine in IIOJK and emphasized that Kashmir was an indispensable part of Pakistan by geographically, historically, and morally.
Qasim Noon stressed that Kashmir dispute should be resolved according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, adding that Kashmir was not just a regional dispute but a recognized international issue.
He said that Pakistan attaches had a great importance to further robust its friendly and bilateral ties with South Korea. Parliamentary delegations between Pakistan and South Korea could play a key role in bringing the two countries closer.
The South Korean delegation welcome and appreciated Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon’s complimentary remarks about South Korea.
