Solangi slams Afghan Taliban for “lecturing Pakistan on democracy”

ISLAMABAD, Oct 05 (APP):Spokesperson to the President of Pakistan, Murtaza Solangi on Monday slammed the Afghan Taliban administration, accusing its representatives of having “the gall to lecture Pakistan on democracy.”
In a post on X, Solangi described the Taliban as an illegitimate regime and listed a series of charges against it.
He said it had violated its commitments under the Doha Agreement, erased the fundamental freedoms of Afghan women and girls, and continued to persecute ethnic and religious minorities. He also said it seized power after years of bombings, IED attacks and suicide terrorism.
“The irony is staggering,” Solangi wrote, adding that a regime that “derives its authority from the gun” had the “audacity” to question the democratic credentials of Pakistan.
He contrasted this with Pakistan’s origins, calling it a state “born of the popular will of millions of its people.”
