ISLAMABAD, Jan 26 (APP):Spokesperson of the President, Murtaza Solangi on Monday congratulated the newly elected office bearers of the Lahore Press Club on their success and appreciated the participation of all the candidates who participated in the polls manifesting democratic process.
In his statement issued by the Presidency, the president’s spokesperson said the Lahore Press Club elections are a manifestation of the democratic tradition of the journalistic community.
Solangi termed the contesting candidates who participated in the electoral process as equal partners in the strengthening democracy. Lahore Press Club elections, he said highlighted the democratic consciousness and unity of the journalist fraternity.
“Free, transparent and democratic elections are a symbol of the dignity of journalism,” he added.
