ISLAMABAD, Jan 12 (APP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Monday said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Sohail Afridi was trying to act as the spokesperson for the Afghan regime.
Reacting to the remarks of Sohail Afridi, the minister said the whole world knows about the Afghan regime’s support for militant groups, adding that there is “irrefutable evidence” of Afghan soil being used against Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism.
Tarar called Sohail Afridi an epitome of “lies and hypocrisy,” describing his irresponsible remarks as “shameful and highly condemnable”.
He said the Pakistani people and security forces have paid a heavy price in its fight against terrorism, but unfortunately, the leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is hell-bent on supporting terrorism.
He said that “Fitna-al-Khawarij” and their sympathizers cannot tolerate Pakistan’s economic and social progress.
Tarar urged Sohail Afridi to reflect on his stance and rectify by supporting the national interest.
