SICVD admin calls on Mayor to discuss health facilities
SUKKUR, Jul 29 (APP):Administrator of the Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICVD), Sukkur, Bharat Kumar, called on Mayor Sukkur, Barrister Arslan Sheikh, at the Mayor House, Sukkur, on Wednesday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and various aspects related to the improvement of health facilities in the city came under discussion.
Both sides exchanged views on further improving cardiac care services for the people of Sukkur and adjoining districts of northern Sindh. The role of SICVD Sukkur, which provides free-of-cost cardiac treatment to patients, was appreciated by Mayor Sukkur.
It was discussed that being a major health facility of upper Sindh, SICVD Sukkur caters to a large number of patients from Sukkur, Khairpur, Ghotki, Shikarpur and other districts. The participants agreed on the need for better coordination, facilitation of patients, and strengthening the referral system.
On the occasion, Administrator Bharat Kumar briefed about the ongoing services, patient load and future requirements of the hospital.
Both sides reiterated their commitment to take joint steps for the provision of better and quality health facilities to the citizens.
