Sheikh Rashid to inaugurate plant-nursery at Margalla Station on Friday

ISLAMABAD, Sep 6 (APP):Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed will inaugurate a plant–nursery here at the Margalla Railway Station on Friday. Railways Rawalpindi Division have planted some 20,000 foliages, including Pongamia, Mulberry, Neem, Pine, Kikar, Indian Rosewood and Populus during the last month, a press release issued here Thursday said.
Under the Green Pakistan Vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan railways has set up a network of three to four plant nurseries across its all divisions.
In the Rawalpindi Division, initially four nurseries will be established in Margalla, Jhelum, Malikwal and Rawalpindi railway stations.
In Jehlum, initially around 5,000 saplings have been prepared, including Pongamia, Kikar, Mulberry and Bauhinia.
Before October, as many as 5000 seeds will be sowed in Jehlum nursery.
