Sheikh Rashid for improving NA performance like Senate

ISLAMABAD, Nov 11 (APP): Chief of Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday underlined the need for improving performance of the National Assembly like the Senate.
Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, Sheikh Rashid said that the lower house of parliament is a supreme institution like the Senate and great leaders like Quaid-i-Azam, Tameez ud din and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had the honour to chair this august House.
Sheikh Rashid said that there had been leading stories in today’s
newspapers that the House was run only with few parliamentarians present in the house.
“In his political life, he has never ever pointed out the quorum of the
National Assembly but if the situation does not improve then he will point it out,” he added.
Sheikh Rashid said that government’s coalition partner Mahmood Khan
Achakzai also asked the government if the situation would not improve then he would also point out the quorum in the National Assembly in future.
To a question regarding Pakistan Army’s statement of good governance,
Sheikh said that the statement was very important in the current political scenario.
