Shehbaz Sharif's message on Eid-ul-Fitr

LAHORE, July 05 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif felicitating the nation on the happy occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr said that Eid demanded sharing of its joys with the poor, widows, orphans and oppressed people so that the eternal message of Islam could be spread.

In his message on the eve of Eid, the Chief Minister said that Eid
joys should also be shared with those people whose near and dear ones had made sacrifices for peace in the country and these officers and Jawans were still fighting with the enemy.

He said that it was a religious, moral and national obligation not
to forget those poor and underprivileged segments in Eid festivities as needed help and assistance. He said, “By sharing Eid joys with deserving and hapless people one can earn success in this world and the world hereafter.”

Shehbaz Sharif further said that Eid also demanded that the spirit of sacrifice, austerity and patience displayed during the holy month should
be made a permanent feature of life. He said, “Eid is a gift and reward
of Allah Almighty after Ramazan and there is a need to celebrate this day by rising above mutual differences.”

He further said that special prayers should also be offered on this occasion for the survival, solidarity and prosperity of the country as
well as complete elimination of terrorism.
