LAHORE, Feb 05 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Monday paid surprise visit to Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute (PKLI) and inspected the construction work of the second phase.
He also visited under-construction energy center, Mosque as well as the dialysis center to inspect the quality of medical facilities.
He was also given a briefing about the detail of construction works of the second phase.
The Chief Minister directed the relevant authorities that the construction work should be completed at the earliest, adding that this institution had emerged as the role model for serving the ailing humanity.
He directed the authorities to make dialysis center functional in next few days and said that horticulture and tree plantation assignment should be completed speedily.
“PKLI is an institution for the whole of Pakistan and no compromise will be made on the quality of construction work”, he added. He said that an effective system of infection-control would be introduced in the PKLI.
The Chief Minister also presided over a high-level meeting which was attended by Provincial Minister Kh. Salman Rafique, Spokesman Punjab government Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Secretary Specialized Healthcare, CEO of Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab and others. The meeting reviewed the progress on second phase of the PKLI.
