ISLAMABAD, Sep 16 (APP):Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja has made surprise visits to various petrol pumps in Islamabad on the second day of the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme.
During the visits, the minister interacted with citizens and sought their feedback on the implementation of the relief scheme.
She said the scheme would start rolling out across the country from Wednesday.
The minister also briefed citizens about the registration process and procedure for obtaining subsidised petrol.
She directed the Islamabad administration and petrol pump owners to ensure that eligible citizens received the facility without interruption.
The minister further ordered strict monitoring of petrol pumps to prevent delays or refusal in providing subsidised petrol to eligible citizens.
Senior officials of the Islamabad district administration and the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication accompanied the minister during the visits.
Citizens at the petrol pumps praised the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Scheme and the minister’s initiative to monitor its implementation personally.
