LAHORE, July 05 (APP): Shawwal moon was sighted and Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Wednesday across the country.
This was announced by Chairman of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, here on Tuesday night before the media.
The announcement of sighting of Hilal of Shawwal ul Mukarram was announced on the basis of tangible witnesses received from across the country by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Earlier, the joint meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and Zonal Hilal Committee Lahore was held at Aiwan-e-Auqaf here.
Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman told the media that tangible persons sighted the Eid moon at Dera Ismail Khan, Meer Pur Khas, Akhora Khattak, Gawadar, Sheikhupura and Lahore.
Secretary Auqaf Punjab, Muhammad Iqbal, Director General Auqaf Punjab Tahir Raza Bokhari and officials of Met office also participated in the meeting.
