Shakargarh gets boost with billion-rupee development package

ISLAMABAD, Mar 27 (APP): Member National Assembly (MNA) and Federal Parliamentary Secretary, Anwar ul Haq Chaudhry, officially inaugurated the Punjab Development Program worth billions of rupees, announced by Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, in Shakargarh City.

In a statement issued here, Chaudhry expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and Federal Minister, Ahsan Iqbal, stating that this package will play a pivotal role in transforming Shakargarh’s destiny.

The Punjab Development Program includes major projects such as construction and rehabilitation of roads in the city and surrounding areas, installation of modern sewerage and drainage systems, water supply schemes for clean drinking water, installation and upgrading of street lights, improvement of parks and green belts for city beautification, upgradation and renovation of educational institutions, enhancement of facilities at basic health centers, and improvement of infrastructure for better traffic management.

Chaudhry said, “These development projects will not only provide basic facilities to Shakargarh’s residents but also boost economic activities in the region.”

He assured that all projects will be completed swiftly and transparently, enabling the public to benefit from them soon. This historic development package is considered a significant step towards transforming Shakargarh into a modern and developed city.
