Shaheryar Memon felicitates Viet Nam on 81st National Day, underscores growing Pakistan-Viet Nam cooperation
ISLAMABAD, Sep 05 (APP):Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Focal Person for Overseas Affairs and Business and Trade Linkages, Muhammad Shaheryar Memon, has felicitated the people and government of Viet Nam on the 81st Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
Shaheryar Memon expressed these views while attending a ceremony marking the 81st National Day of Viet Nam, hosted by the Embassy of Viet Nam in Islamabad.
The ceremony was attended by diplomats, ambassadors, senior government officials, members of the business community and other distinguished guests.
Shaheryar Memon also participated in the cake-cutting ceremony as a guest of honour alongside the Ambassador of Viet Nam and ambassadors and high-ranking diplomats from various countries.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaheryar Memon congratulated the Vietnamese leadership and people on the historic national day and appreciated the country’s remarkable journey since independence.
He said Viet Nam’s transformation from a nation that fought for independence into a dynamic and rapidly developing economy reflected the resilience, determination and sacrifices of generations of Vietnamese people.
He noted that Viet Nam had made significant progress in economic development, trade, investment and human resource development, emerging as an important player in the regional and global economy.
“Over the past 81 years, generations of Vietnamese have devoted their efforts and sacrifices to defending our independence, building the country, and pursuing a better and happier life for our people,” he said.
Memon expressed confidence that Pakistan and Viet Nam would continue to strengthen their longstanding friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in diverse fields.
He particularly emphasized the importance of enhancing business-to-business contacts, trade linkages, investment partnerships and youth exchanges between the two countries.
He said the youth of Pakistan and Viet Nam could play a vital role in building stronger economic and people-to-people ties by creating new opportunities in entrepreneurship, technology, education and innovation.
Shaheryar Memon also appreciated the efforts of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Islamabad for promoting closer relations between the two countries and fostering greater understanding between their peoples.
He said Pakistan valued its friendly relations with Viet Nam and remained committed to exploring new avenues of cooperation for mutual benefit.
The ceremony concluded with the cake-cutting, followed by interactions among diplomats, government representatives and distinguished guests, who conveyed their warm wishes to the Vietnamese people on their National Day.
