ISLAMABAD, May 3 (APP):Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood Friday said the government would provide best environment to the working women in order to participate them in the socio-economic development of the country.
Addressing the Launching of Gender Assessment Report and Master Trainer Certification Distribution Ceremony, he said the government would provide hostel facility to the working women.
The event was organized by the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) in support of TVET Support program.
The women, he said, came to big cities from far flung areas for job but they had to face the issues like shortage of secure residence.
He added that it was responsibility of the government to provide them friendly and safe hostel facility.
He said that the women having children would be provided the facility of ‘Day Care Center’ where their children would be cared during duty time.
The minister also underlined the need of working atmosphere in the institutions where women could not be harassed.
He said that the women should be protected from the harassment through the strict laws.
He said that safe and easy transportation for women was also among their major issues.
He called for a proactive role of the concerned institutions in provision of transportation services to the working women.
He lauded the role of NAVTTC for holding such kind of event to highlights its achievements especially during last three months.
At the end, he distributed the certificates among the master trainers came from all over the country.
