SFPR evaluates its three-year performance

ISLAMABAD, Mar 1 (APP):Chairman Senate Forum for Policy Research (SFPR) on Thursday evaluated its three-years’ performance report in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Senator (Retired) Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari.
The members of the forum including retired and serving Senators Dr. Jehanzeb Jamaldini , Muhammad Mohsin Khan Leghari, Javed Jabbar, Afrasiab Khattak, Razina Alam Khan, Ch. Muhammad Anwar Bhinder, Wasim Sajjad and Eng. Rukhsana Zuberi.
The committee highly praised the three-year contributions of SFPR in a resolution moved by Senator Ch.Muhammad Anwar Bhinder.
The committee Chairman Senate Forum emphasized for developing concrete proposals in respect of water issues.
Chairman SFPR said that the recommendations of the Forum will be compiled and placed at Senate Library.
He said that SFPR took up the issue of public importance for comprehensive discussion, understanding and formulation of required policy input.
Former Senator Razina Alam Khan presented a SFPR performance report 2015-18: suggestions for future course of action.
She in her report that SFPR has been discharging its assigned responsibilities sincerely and diligently of this forum has contributed in facilitating the work of Senate and its various committees.
Razina Alam Khan recommended that SFPR and Chairman Senate may consider to further strengthen the role of this useful forum.
The SFPR was established in the sitting of Senate of Pakistan held on October 27, 2014. The SFPR is a Think Tank, which studies questions of public importance and recommends policy options and solutions.
