Several persons booked by Civil line police

FAISALABAD,Oct 26 (APP): Civil Line police has booked about
one several people including aspiring contestants of Local Bodies Election on the charge of attacking Returning Officer.
Police spokesman told here on Monday that Returning Officer (RO) Shaukat
Hayat filed a complaint with the police contending that he went to the office of District Returning Officer where Muhammad Ali Makhdoom,a candidate for chairman City Council (CC) No. 55,alongwith Tariq Majeed Advocate, a candidate for Vice Chairmanship,and other accomplices came there and humiliated him.He said they assaulted him and hurled threats.
On this complaint, the Civil Line police registered case against one dozen
people including LB elections candidates,Muhammad Ali Makhdoom and Tariq Majeed Advocate,and started search for the arrest of the accused, the spokesman added.
