QUETTA, Dec 05 (APP): In a landmark development for peace and stability in Balochistan, local separatist leader Wadera Noor Ali Chakarani, along with more than 100 of his companions, surrendered their weapons and announced their decision to join the national mainstream.

The group pledged loyalty to the state and the national flag, affirming their support for the provincial government’s initiatives to promote peace, stability, and national unity.

The move was seen as a direct outcome of the Balochistan government’s strong anti-terrorism measures and the development-focused, people-centric vision of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

The dignified ceremony took place in Sui on Friday and was presided over by Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti, brother of the Chief Minister. The event drew a large crowd, including tribal elders of the Bugti community, respected notables, youth, and local residents.

Addressing the gathering, Mir Aftab Ahmed Bugti warmly welcomed those who had surrendered and urged others still in the mountains under the influence of external elements to return, reintegrate into mainstream society, and contribute positively to the development, prosperity, and peaceful future of Dera Bugti and Balochistan.

Sui Town Chairman Izzatullah Aman Bugti also address the event, describing the development as a reflection of Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s people-friendly policies and his firm commitment to maintaining peace.

He emphasized that ensuring development, security, and national unity for every citizen remains the provincial government’s top priority.
Izzatullah Aman Bugti added that the surrender demonstrates the tangible results of the government’s tough stance against terrorism combined with inclusive, public-focused initiatives. “This proves that with strong leadership, community support, and sustained commitment, lasting peace and development in Balochistan are achievable,” he said.
