ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):The parliamentarians from opposition and government benches in the Senate on Friday appreciating the present government’s strategy for effectively tackling the tense situation, announced their full support to the armed forces and the government against Indian aggression.
Participating in the discussion on the ongoing tension between Pakistan and India, they said that country’s political leadership was united for the security of the motherland. They also supported the efforts of Pakistan for maintaining peace in the region.
Senator Sherry Rehman said “It was our moral responsibility
to release the Indian Air Force pilot on humanitarian ground and on the basis of moral parameter of this country. Unlike Pakistan’s efforts for maintaining peace unfortunately Indian media was still busy in escalating the tense situation.”
She said that all the political parties had fully supported the government
against the Indian aggression and condemned its violation of Line of Control (LoC). She said that India had adopted the aggressive attitude and Pakistan must inform the international community about it.She said that being a victim of terrorism, Pakistan had taken several steps to control it.
Despite Pakistan’s efforts for peace, India was carrying out propaganda against Pakistan and the role of Indian media remained very negative too, she added.
She said “We must return Indian pilot but we should also ask them to start dialogue on Kashmir issue.“She expressed the hope that the crises would end due to mature role of Pakistan during the prevailing tense situation.
She said that Indian ruling party needs face-saving in the wake of forthcoming general election.
She added on social media Indians were showing immature attitude despite knowing the outcome
of tension between two nuclear powers.
Senator Mir Kabeer Ahmad Shahi said that India should now learn a lesson from this episode and adopt a mature attitude by leaving aggressive one. He appreciated the decision of handing over Indian pilot to the Indian authorities.
He said that the whole Pakistani nation was united but on the other side Indians were divided as 21 political parties were criticizing the Modi’s aggressive policies. He said that Kashmir was the major issue which needs to be addressed to have lasting peace in the region.
Senator Muhammad Akram said that Pulwama was not the first incident as the Indian government always tried to involve Pakistan in several past incidents of terrorism in India. He said that peace loving people were not in favour of war and they want peace in the region.
Senator Rehman Malik said that the way the nation had responded to the India’s aggression was an eye-opener for our enemy. He said that now people were well aware of Indian PM Modi’s nefarious designs of increasing tension with Pakistan, disturbing Muslims in India and creating fake stories of surgical strikes in Pakistan for petty political gains.
He said that Modi’s actions were visible as he used to play with the feelings of Indian Muslims just to attract his hardliner voters. He said that escalation was in the favour of Indian PM Modi for gaining political popularity in India.
He appreciated the decision of handing over Indian pilot to them and criticized that the Indian government never demonstrated such attitude with Pakistan which shows their anti-Pakistan mindset.
He made it clear that there was no terrorist camp in Pakistan and asked the present government to tell the international community about Pakistan’s commitment to root out terrorism. He termed the Pulwama incident as fake drama just to escalate the tension between the two neighboring countries
for political objectives.
Senator Azam Swati thanked the entire nation and parliamentarians from opposition side
for fully supporting the government and Pakistan Army against the Indian aggression. He said that a message of unity was presented in the world and that the India must know that whole Pakistani nation was united for territorial integrity of the country.
He said that innocent Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IoK) were living miserable lives as the Indian forces continued their brutalities against them to suppress their right of self-determination.
He said that the present leadership of the country had made strong decisions in this extraordinary situation and all Pakistanis were fully supportive of government strategy against Indian aggression.
Senator Ashok Kumar said that minority community had same feelings of love and affection for this motherland. He strongly condemned the Indian aggression and violation of LoC.
Senator Kalsoom Parveen said that the whole nation was united against Indian aggression.
