Senator Rubina Khalid pays tribute to martyrs on Defence Day
ISLAMABAD, Sep 06 (APP):Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Senator Rubina Khalid Sunday reaffirmed the nation’s resolve to defend the country and prayed for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan. In her message on the occasion of Defence Day, Rubina Khalid paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, along with their families.
Senator Rubina Khalid said Defence Day serves as a reminder of the great sacrifices rendered for the country’s freedom, sovereignty, and national security. She recalled that in 1965, the sons of the nation foiled the enemy’s nefarious designs through unmatched bravery and unwavering commitment to duty.
The BISP Chairperson noted that the same spirit of September 6 was once again witnessed in the remarkable success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos. She termed the victory of the righteous battle (Maarka-e-Haq) as another golden chapter in the nation’s history, describing it as a testament to the professional excellence, determination, courage, and valor of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Senator Rubina Khalid further stated that, alongside a strong national defence, economic stability and progress form the true foundation of Pakistan’s strength. She emphasized that building a bright, secure, and prosperous Pakistan is a shared responsibility of the entire nation, including its youth.
