Senate unanimously passes 12 government , one private bill

ISLAMABAD, May 11 (APP):Senate on Friday unanimously passed 12 Government and one private bill relating to education. T
he bills have already been passed by the national Assembly.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrahni congratulated the House for unanimously passing the bill, adding that the bills were being passed under Article 76 of the constitution.
He said if the bills were not passed by the Senate before ending the five years’ term of National Assembly, the bills already passed by the National Assembly would have been lapsed. The legislation was being enacted for the welfare of people and country’s progress, prosperity and development.
The bills were being passed by relaxing the rules and regulations of Senate. Speaking on the occasion, Opposition leader Sherry Rehman, Senators Azam Swati, Syed Shibli Faraz , Mushtaq Ahmed, Dilawar Khan, Sassui Palijo  and Behramand Tungi congratulated the house of passing the bills, which could have been elapsed. The unanimously passed bills included a Bill titled Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants Bill 2018. The bill was moved by Minister for Law and Justice Mehmood Bashir Virk.
The upper House unanimously passed another bill titled The Institute
of Art and Culture Bill, 2018. Minister for Federal Education and
Professional Training Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman moved the bill.
Another Bill titled the Institute of Science and Technology Bahawalur
Bill, 2018. The Bill was moved by the Federal Education and
Professional Training Baligh-ur-Rehman for consideration and passage.
Another bill titled The Sir Syed- CASE (Center for Advanced Studies in
Engineering) Institute of Technology, Islamabad Bill, 2018.The bill
was moved by Federal Education and Professional Training
Baligh-ur-Rehman.
The House unanimously passed another Bill to repeal the
Establishment of the Federal Bank for Cooperatives and Regulation of
Cooperative Banking Act, 1977 [The Establishment of the Federal Bank for Cooperatives and Regulation of Cooperative Banking (Repeal) Bill, 2018].
The bill was moved by State Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Rana Muhammad Afzal moved the Bill on behalf of Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Miftah Ismael.
Senate unanimously passed yet another bill titled the Bill to repeal the House Building Finance Corporation Act, 1952 [The House Building Finance Corporation (Repeal) Bill, 2018). The Bill was moved by State Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Rana Muhammad Afzal on behalf of Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Miftah Ismael.
Yet another Bill to amend the Federal Employees Benevolent
Fund and Group Insurance Act, 1969 [The Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2018], as passed by the National Assembly. The bill was moved by Minister for Law and Justice Chaudhry Mehmood Bashir Virk on behalf of Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Ms Saira Afzal Tarar.
Another Bill titled (The Islamabad Healthcare Regulation
Bill, 2018) as passed by the National Assembly. The Bill was moved by Minister for Federal Education for Professional Training
Baligh-ur-Rehman on behalf of. Minister for National Health Services,
Regulations and Coordination Ms Saira Afzal Tarar.
Senate unanimously passed another bill titled The Health
Services Academy (Restructuring) Bill, 2018. The Bill was moved by by Minister for Federal Education for Professional Training
Baligh-ur-Rehman on behalf of. Minister for National Health Services,
Regulations and Coordination Ms Saira Afzal Tarar.
Another Bill titled The Women in Distress and Detention
Fund (Amendment) Bill, 2017].The bill was moved by  Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar.
Another Bill titled The Juvenile Justice System Bill, 2018 was passed unanimously. The Bill was Bill to provide for criminal justice system for juveniles moved by Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar.
Yet another bill titled The Islamabad Capital Territory
Child Protection Bill, 2018 was passed by the House. Minister for
Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmed Tarar moved the Bill to provide for the
protection and care of children in the Islamabad Capital Territory
(ICT).
Senate unanimously passed yet another private bill titled The Criminal Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2018]. The bill was moved by Senator Sassui Palijo to amend the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 and the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898.
Meanwhile,   Minister for Human Rights Mumtaz Ahmad Tarar presented annual report of Federal Public Service Commission’s Annual Report of the year 2016.
