Senate to continue raising voice for backward areas: Sanjrani

ISLAMABAD, May 03 (APP):Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani Friday said Senate would continue to raise voice for the backward areas and downtrodden sections of society.

He was talking to students of different universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who held a meeting with him here at Parliament House.

He said the visit of the students to the Parliament was important as through it they came to know about the functioning of the constitutional institutions and got information about the challenges being faced by the country.

He urged the students to focus on their education so that in future they could take part in activities important to progress and prosperity of the country.

Universities always played an important role in strengthening democratic traditions, he said adding more than 5000 students had visited the Parliament and became familiar with the proceedings of the Senate and National Assembly.
