Senate panel to discuss journalists protection, welfare bill on Friday

ISLAMABAD, Apr 14 (APP): A sub-committee of the Senate Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage will meet Friday (tomorrow) to further discuss the draft of the bill for protection and welfare of the journalists.

The meeting to be chaired by Mushahidullah Khan will discuss the bill.

“The Journalists Protection and Welfare Bill,2011 introduced in the House in 2011 and referred to the standing committee by House Business Advisory Committee in Sept 2015.
