ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP):Reports of various Senate standing committees on important legislative bills were presented in the Upper House on Tuesday under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Senate.
Senator Faisal Saleem Rehman, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control, presented the committee’s reports on three significant amendment bills.
According to the official agenda, Senator first presented the report on the bill further to amend the Societies Registration Act, 1860 [The Societies Registration (Amendment) Bill, 2025].
Senator Saleem Rehman also submitted the report of the committee on the bill further to amend the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997 [The Control of Narcotic Substances (Amendment) Bill, 2024], originally introduced by Senator Mohsin Aziz on September 2, 2024.
Senator Saleem Rehman further laid before the House the committee’s findings on the bill seeking amendments in the Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding Act, 1977 [The Price Control and Prevention of Profiteering and Hoarding (Amendment) Bill, 2024], also moved by Senator Mohsin Aziz on April 29, 2024.
In addition, Senator Anusha Rahman presented the report of the committee on the Money Bill to further amend the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 [The Income Tax (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025] on behalf of Senator Saleem Mandviwalla Chairman of the Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue.
