Senate Committee condemned Indian PM's statement of alleging Pakistan for Pulwama incident

ISLAMABAD, Feb 22 (APP):Senate Standing Committee on Interior on Friday strongly condemned statement of Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi for straight away alleging Pakistan for Pulwama attack which has been alleged within few minutes after the incident.
Pakistan has already denied this allegation and even has offered full help and support in the investigation.
Senator Rehman Malik, who was chairing the meeting, presented the resolution and said, “We demand from India to provide actionable intelligence and evidence, enabling Pakistan to investigate role of any non-state actor on this side.”

The Committee also condemned blockage of water announced by Minister for Water of India which is against Indus Water Treaty signed in 1960. The Committee appealed to World Bank to take notice of this violation.The meeting passed the resolution unanimously.
The meeting was also attended by Senators including Sardar Muhammad Shafiq Tareen, Muhammad Javed Abbasi, Mian Muhammad Ateeq Shaikh, Kauda Babar, Haji Momin Khan Afridi, Dr. Shahzad Waseem, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and representatives of Ministries of Law and Justice and Interior and Capital Development Authority (CDA).
Rehman Malik said that President of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has replied a letter he had written in which he had informed about involvement of Indian Prime Minister in money laundering and providing financial assistance to the terrorists.
“I had requested the President of FATF to declare Narendra Modi as terrorist,” he said.
Rehman Malik said the President of FATF had replied that FATF was a policy-making body, therefore this matter can be raised in any other relevant institution.
The meeting approved Real-Estate Regulation and Development Bill 2017 to which the Chairman said, “Such laws were need of the hour.”
Rehman Malik said role of Senators Mohsin Aziz and Javed Abbasi in passage of the Bill was commendable.
On matter of awarding contract to an owner of housing society about development of CDA Sector, Rehman Malik said action should be taken against those who violated rules and regulation and in this regard the case would be forwarded to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
The Committee also sought list of educational institutions established in residential areas while a report should also be presented before the Committee about their commercial activities.
On matter of appointment of Chairman CDA, Rehman Malik said legislation should be made in Senate.
