ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Wednesday extended heartfelt felicitations to the government and people of Türkiye on the occasion of their Republic Day.
Conveying his best wishes to the Turkish leadership and nation, Gilani said that Pakistan and Türkiye share relations rooted in mutual respect, fraternity, and trust.
He said both countries have stood by each other through every challenge, adding that Türkiye has always supported Pakistan’s stance at international forums, while Pakistan has consistently backed Türkiye in safeguarding its national interests.
Highlighting the centuries-old historical and cultural bonds between the peoples of both nations, the Senate Chairman said Pakistan–Türkiye relations are not merely diplomatic but are deeply grounded in public goodwill.
Gilani described parliamentary ties between Pakistan and Türkiye as exemplary, noting that consistent engagement between the two parliaments continues to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
He lauded the leadership of Türkiye for steering the country toward new heights of development and prosperity and appreciated its efforts for economic stability and public welfare.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s desire to further promote its brotherly relations with Türkiye, the Senate Chairman said both countries remain united in their pursuit of global peace and shared progress.
