QUETTA, Aug 20 (APP): Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kali Soran area of Panjgur under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3.
Security sources said that the terrorists were reportedly travelling on motorcycles and were allegedly planning to carry out a major terrorist attack when security forces launched the operation. Several other terrorists were also wounded during the operation, they said.
Security forces used advanced technology to successfully target the terrorists. A large quantity of weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the site, along with three vehicles, two motorcycles, an improvised explosive device (IED), and a flag of a banned organization, the sources said.
The Security Sources said that the terrorists were involved in robbery, extortion, kidnapping for ransom and target killings targeting local residents, and were also planning suicide attacks.
The Security forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism from Balochistan and will continue operations against militant elements until the threat is eradicated, they said.
