QUETTA, Aug 15 (APP): Security forces killed 10 terrorists during a successful intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the mountainous area of Shor Parod, Khuzdar district, while several others were injured.
Security sources said that the operation was launched on the basis of credible intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan in the area.
During the operation, the security forces effectively engaged and surrounded multiple terrorist hideouts. The terrorists were present in three small groups, resulting in an intense exchange of fire between the security forces and the militants, the sources said.
As a result of the operation, 10 terrorists were killed and several others sustained injuries, security sources said.
Following the operation, security forces intensified search and clearance operation to track down the remaining terrorists who managed to flee.
Security forces remain committed to continuing operations until the complete elimination of terrorism.
