Security forces continue successful intelligence-based operations across KP

PESHAWAR, Aug 03 (APP):Security forces have continued successful intelligence-based operations (IBOs) across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over the past two months under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign.
According to security sources, multiple hideouts of Fitna al-Khwarij terrorists were destroyed during recent intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan, dealing another blow to the group’s operational network.
Several Khwarij terrorists were killed during an operation in the Khatti Kili area of North Waziristan. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and other equipment were also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The sources said that reports also indicate that several terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Khwarij were injured during the IBOs.
They said every effort was being made during the operations to ensure the safety of the lives and property of the local population and to avoid any harm to civilians.
The Security sources reaffirmed that the security forces would continue operations across KP until lasting peace is established and terrorism is eliminated
