ISLAMABAD, Mar 01 (APP):The district administration has enforced Section 144 across the federal capital, declaring all forms of gatherings illegal under the order.
Officials said the restriction applies to protests, rallies, sit-ins, and any public assembly, warning that violations will lead to legal action.
According to a statement issued by the Islamabad district administration, Section 144 is now in force throughout the city. Under this provision, citizens are barred from organizing or joining any gathering, including demonstrations and protests.
The administration urged residents to avoid becoming part of any crowd or assembly. Officials said the measure aims to maintain public order and ensure compliance with existing laws during the enforcement period.
Authorities further warned that strict legal proceedings will be initiated against individuals or groups found violating the order. Law enforcement agencies have been directed to act against any protest, demonstration, or public gathering held in breach of Section 144.
The administration advised citizens to cooperate with officials and follow the restrictions to avoid legal consequences. Residents were also asked to stay informed through official notices and comply with directions issued by the district administration.
Officials said enforcement teams remain active across Islamabad to monitor compliance. Any attempt to organize or participate in prohibited activities will be dealt with under the law, the statement added.
