Secretary Religious Affairs advises pilgrims to maintain Pakistan’s reputation during hajj

ISLAMABAD, May 31 (APP):Federal Secretary, Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman advised pilgrims to maintain Pakistan’s reputation during Hajj by adhering to Saudi laws, which are in place to ensure a smooth and successful pilgrimage.
     During a recent conversation with Radio Pakistan, Secretary Religious Affairs asked Pakistani pilgrims to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the country’s reputation during Hajj.
    Ata ur Rehman stressed that the government is working tirelessly to provide a positive and memorable experience for Pakistani pilgrims, adding that he said with the government’s support in place, it is now up to the Pakistani Hujjaj to focus on their spiritual journey and perform Hajj with sincerity.
    While highlighting recent improvements, Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman shared that the government has upgraded facilities for pilgrims, including replacing traditional mattresses with sofa-cum-beds, installing air conditioners in addition to air coolers and introducing elevated luggage storage racks and shoe racks for added comfort.
     He further pointed out the remarkable arrangements organized for the benefit of Hujjaj during the Mashair days, showcasing the government’s commitment to their comfort and well-being.
      According to the Secretary Religious Affairs, more than 87,000 pilgrims have landed in Saudi Arabia under the government scheme, while 21,984 have traveled privately. Five more flights are set to depart from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore today.
