RAWALPINDI, Jul 31 (APP):Secretary Emergency Services Punjab Dr Rizwan Naseer on Friday visited Dadhocha Dam to review flood preparedness and emergency response arrangements in view of the ongoing monsoon season.
District Emergency Officer, Rawalpindi, Engineer Sibghatullah briefed the secretary on contingency measures, informing him that all necessary arrangements had been completed to handle any emergency. He said Rescue 1122 personnel and emergency vehicles had been deployed at strategic locations to ensure a prompt response.
Dr Rizwan Naseer said Rescue 1122 personnel remained on high alert during the monsoon and were fully prepared to respond to any emergency.
He said the drainage process in Rawalpindi city was being carried out promptly and appealed to the public to adopt precautionary measures and cooperate with the district administration during the rainy season.
