ISLAMABAD, Dec 17 (APP):Secretary Education, Nadeem Mahbub, on Wednesday directed the concerned authorities to complete unfinished class room of Islamabad Model School for Boys (IMSB), (Classes I–VIII), Bhara Koh Sector in a bid to ease overcrowded and improve the learning environment.

During his visit to Middle School IMSB (Classes I–VIII) located in Mohra Noor, Bhara Koh Sector, to review the educational facilities and overall learning environment, the Secretary observed that students were being accommodated in highly congested and overcrowded classrooms, which was adversely affecting the teaching and learning process.

The Principal apprised the Secretary that two rooms block was partially constructed by the defunct Public Works Department (PWD) few years back and after it’s closure, these rooms have remained incomplete during the past few years.

Taking serious notice of the stalled construction, the Secretary expressed grave concern over the wastage of public resources and directed the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) to immediately depute teams from the Planning and Development (P&D) wing and the Project Management Unit (PMU) to conduct a survey, prepare cost estimates, and bring the project to completion at the earliest.
Further, he also checked the vacant unleveled area on the backside of the school building and instructed the concerned to level the site, if technically feasible given the rock formations, so that it can be used as a play area.
Reiterating the government’s commitment, the Secretary emphasized that providing a safe, spacious, and student-friendly learning environment remains a top priority of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training.
