ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (APP):The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Energy Update, Pakistan’s leading energy publication, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance public outreach and awareness for the upcoming 28th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC 2025).
The MoU aims to amplify outreach on SDC 2025’s theme, “Sustainable Development in the Emerging World: Dis|Order,” through Energy Update’s platforms, including its website (www.energyupdate.com.pk), social media, and print editions, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
This partnership will foster greater stakeholder engagement on critical issues like climate action, green energy transitions, and equitable growth, drawing over 1,000 participants to the event from November 4–7 at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).
On behalf of SDPI, Dr. Zainab Naeem, Research Fellow, and Halima Khan, Head of Sustainability and Corporate Affairs, signed the MoU.Representing Energy Update were Managing Editor Mohammad Naeem Qureshi, Chief Marketing Officer Engr. Nadeem Ashraf, and Saira Adnaan, who witnessed the signing ceremony.
Dr. Zainab Naeem stated, “This collaboration with Energy Update will enhance knowledge-sharing and drive meaningful dialogues on sustainability challenges facing Pakistan and the Global South.” Mohammad Naeem Qureshi added, “As a strategic partner, Energy Update is committed to spotlighting SDC 2025’s innovations in energy and environmental policy.”
The MoU builds on prior joint efforts, such as Energy Update’s coverage of SDPI initiatives like Solar Pakistan events, and aligns with SDPI’s mission to influence national policies on climate resilience and SDGs.
