Scattered rain-thunderstorm likely in most part of country

ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department on Saturday forecast scattered rain-thunderstorm accompanied by gusty
winds during next 24 hours.
According to Met Office, scattered rain is likely in Malakand,
Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan, Bannu, D.I Khan divisions,FATA,Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha Faisalabad divisions), Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Zhob ,D.G .Khan, Multan, Sahiwal divisions.
Light snowfall is also expected over the hills of Malakand
division, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
A fresh westerly wave has started affecting western and upper parts of the country and is likely to persist till Monday.
Highest temperatures recorded from different parts of the
country included Sh. Benazirabad 41øC, Mithi 38øC, Islamabad 24øC, Lahore 33øC, Karachi 33øC, Peshawar 26øC Quetta 26øC, Gilgit 20øC,
Hunza 13øC , Muzaffarabad 23øC, Murree 13øC, Skardu 16øC, Faisalabad 33øC, Multan 32øC, Hyderabad 37øC and Kalat 20øC.
Chief amount of Rainfall was recorded Dir 16 mm, Kohat 12 mm,Kamra 10 mm, Zhob 5 mm, Mirkhani 4 mm, Balakot 3 mm, Bannu 2 mm,Peshawar, Chitral and Murree 01 mm.
