SC adjourns Saad Rafique case till Nov 18

ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned an appeal by Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique filed against the decision of Election Tribunal (ET) till November 18.
A three-judge bench headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan heard the case, filed by Khawaja Saad Rafique against the ET decision of re-election in NA-125 Lahore.
During the course of proceeding, Justice Ejaz Afzal inquired from the
counsels of Khawaja Saad Rafique and Hamid Khan whether they would be able to complete their arguments in today’s hearing or not.
Upon which Khawaja Haris, the counsel for Saad Rafique replied that he had plenty of material which he wanted to present before the court and argue on it and added that his arguments would take time.
Justice Ejaz Afzal remarked that the current bench won’t be in place
tomorrow thus the case might be fixed with a bench which would be intact for at least two consecutive days.
With the consensus from both the counsels, the court adjourned the case till November 18.
