ISLAMABAD, Nov 10 (APP): Common Pakistani feels deep veneration for Saudi Arabia as relations between the two countries are rooted in the centuries old religious, cultural and commercial links between the two peoples.
Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting & National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb stated this during a meeting with Abdullah Marzouk Al-Zahrani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia who called on her here.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Pakistan considers Saudi Arabia a strategic partner because it has not only supported Pakistan on matters of strategic interest but also gave generous economic and financial assistance at times of crises. She added that a number of monuments ranging from Faisal Mosque to the establishment of International Islamic University in Islamabad bear a testimony to the depth of our bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting between Marriyum Aurangzeb and Abdullah Marzouk Al-Zahrani, cooperation in the field of media, information and matters of mutual of interests came under discussion. Both, the Minister of State and Ambassador emphasized the need to learn from each others’ experiences and best practices. The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia assured the Minister of his cooperation in areas mutually beneficial to each other’s country.
Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage and Abdullah Marzouk Al-Zahrani, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia also reiterated their resolve to further enhance bilateral relationship for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.
