Saudi Border Guard takes over Hajj security duties across holy sites

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): General Directorate of Border Guard has assumed operational security duties across the holy sites in support of Hajj security forces during the Hajj 1447 AH season.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Border Guard units have deployed tactical personnel, specialized vehicles and field equipment to strengthen security arrangements and regulate movement in and around the holy sites.

The report said the force is working to secure safety corridors, support crowd management operations and improve the flow of pilgrims during the peak Hajj days.

Authorities added that Border Guard teams are also coordinating directly with General Directorate of Civil Defense to reinforce standby search-and-rescue operations and speed up emergency response measures.
SPA told APP that the integrated security deployment aims to help pilgrims perform Hajj rituals with safety, ease and peace of mind throughout the season.
The report further said the operational plan forms part of Saudi Arabia’s broader security and service efforts to ensure organized movement and high-level preparedness across the holy sites during Hajj.
