LAHORE, May 20 (APP):Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar Monday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) government would pull the country out of financial quagmire while the flawed economic policies of the previous governments were to be blamed for the sorry state of affairs.

He was talking to Provincial Minister for Housing Mian Mehmood-Ur-Rasheed, MNA Faheem Khan and a traders delegation who called on him at the Governor’s House, here.

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar said that economic terrorists were the real culprits of this nation, adding, some elements were conspiring to create economic uncertainty in the country but PTI government shall not let them succeed by any means and would bring economic stability in the country.
He said the federal and the provincial governments were mainly focusing to give maximum relief to the poor man in the coming budget.

The Governor said the government was fully aware of the problems faced by the traders and the economic sector.

He said the government was taking difficult decisions to make a plausible environment for traders. The government was taking every possible decision to reduce trade deficit and was also taking steps to halt the import of luxury goods, he added.

He said to bring the country out of this dismal situation, the government must take into confidence the traders and business community which could render many good services to uplift the shrinking economy of this country.

He further said that the mission of the government of PTI was to empower the common man and the government was strengthening economy to accomplish this task of making Pakistan a truly welfare state.
