Sarwar assures cooperation to international firms for investment in gas sector

ISLAMABAD, Jan 9 (APP):Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Ghulam Sarwar Khan Wednesday assured the foreign companies interested to invest in gas sector of the country that the government would extend all possible cooperation and facilities to them.“All impediments in expansion of gas sector will be removed,” the minister said while talking to a delegation of Mitsubishi Tabeer Energy that called on him here.
	He said that robust investment in the gas sector was need of the hour due to ever-increasing energy needs of the country, says a press release.
	After seeing the tremendous potential, the minister said, well-reputed international companies were in constant contact with the Petroleum and Natural Affairs Division for investment in hydrocarbon sector.
	The Country Manager of Tabeer Energy Marketing, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, showed keen interest for investment in the gas sector and thanked the minister for extending cooperation.
	The delegation expressed confidence that the Tabeer Energy  would play an important role in meeting energy needs of Pakistan.
	The country manager said Pakistan had great potential in hydrocarbon resrouces which needed to be tapped effeciently.
	The delegation appreciated the government for making prudent policies  to achieve self-sufficiency in the energy sector. Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Ghulam Sarwar Khan also presented a souviner to the Country Manager of Tabeer Energy.
