Sartaj says India avoiding dialogue on core issues

ISLAMABAD, Jun 29 (APP): Advisor to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Satraj Aziz Wednesday said India was avoiding dialogue with Pakistan because it would have to discuss all core issues including Kashmir.

Terming Indian Prime Minister’s logic over dialogue process as beyond perception, the Advisor said it was actually India that had been refraining from the dialogue as it would have to discuss Kashmir and other issues on the table, reported Radio Pakistan.

Sartaj Aziz said that both countries had a format of comprehensive and composite dialogue that included issues like people-to-people contacts, visa and fishermen issue, trade and economic cooperation, Kashmir, Siachen and Sir Creek.

“Indian Army has stakes in Siachen and when last time both the governments reached an agreement, the Indian Army rejected it,” the Radio Pakistan quoted the advisor as saying.
